I.B. Philosophy
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the IB works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
In other words, the International Baccalaureate seeks to create a microcosmic version of a university degree program.
Our ambition is to help students develop a way of thinking, acting and working that drills beneath the surface of current thinking, that challenges orthodoxies and clichés and encourages students to willingly excavate ideas from literature, people and the environment.
Le programme pour l’obtention du diplôme du Baccalauréat International est un programme d’études pré universitaire rigoureux menant à des examens qui répondent aux besoins d’étudiants du cycle secondaire extrêmement motivés entre les ages de 16 et 19 ans.
Conçu en tant qu’un curriculum compréhensif sur deux ans qui permet à ses bacheliers de satisfaire les exigences de divers systèmes éducatifs nationaux, le diplôme du Baccalauréat International est fondé non pas sur le modèle d’un seul pays mais sur l’incorporation des meilleurs éléments de plusieurs pays.
